Word - Cross References 1. Select with the cursor the name you want to refer in other parts of your document, for example: Hub_Master_Bogotá 2. Go to Insert, and Select Bookmark 3. In Bookmark, add a name that related your selection, for example: Hub01 4. Go to the place you want to insert the corss reference 5. Go to Insert, Cross Reference, in Reference Type: bookmark, and, Insert Reference to: Bookmark text. Insert as hyperlink can be used if you want to go to the original reference by clicking Ctrl + the crossed reference. Finally select the name you gave to the bookmark, e.i.: Hub01 and click Insert. 6. This will Insert the cross-reference. You can add as many cross-references as needed. 7. If you edit the original reference, to update the links, you can select all the document (Ctrl + A) and press F9 (this is the shortcut to update all fields). Option 2. Word 2013 1. Go to File / Info / Properties / Advanced Properties 2.In Custom tab, add a new name, select the Type (Text) and value you want it to appear: Example: Customer Hub 1 and click ADD 2.1 If the field is already added, just select the field, change the value to the new vaule you want it to show and press Modify instead of ADD 2.2 Go to the page and update the field to see it in the document 3. Put the cursor where you want to insert the created field 4. Go to Insert / Quick Parts / Field and search in the right for DocProperty, select it and in the right (Property) look for the name of the created field in the step 2. 5. After selecting the name press OK and that will insert the field into the document.
